BIG game workshop testing at the Intergenerational Activity Centre in Warsaw

In the mid of June ten participants met together at the Intergenerational Activity Centre in Warsaw to test the BIG game. In half a day workshop two teenagers, three adult educators and five older adults vigorously discussed the scenes of Ewa, older woman with dementia and Waldemar, a single father with a small child.

The participants praised the overall idea of the game very much. One of them stressed that it is very much needed to teach people in a playful manner about the inclusive environments. A lot of remarks were made in relation to the scenes where Ewa was involved. Participants shared their personal experiences linked with dementia and commented on the scenes as well as the provided solutions. A lot of attention was given to the graphic design concept. Older participants had some doubts on it while two younger persons present in the workshop liked it and described as old-school. Such opposing views appeared during the discussion quite often and shed light on the different perception of the game by different generations. The outcomes of the workshop and the feedback given fuel our further work!
